Humanity should reject Islam in its entirety as a dangerous and false religion that misleads billions of souls to hell by spreading heresies and falsehoods about heaven and God.

    Introduction

Islam, founded by Muhammad in the 7th century AD, has become the world’s second-largest religion, with over 1.9 billion followers. Despite its vast reach, Islam fundamentally contradicts Christianity, the true faith revealed through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This article exposes 30 Islamic practices and beliefs, proving it is a false religion when measured against the unchanging Word of God. It concludes with historical context, global rankings, and a call for Muslims to come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

    1. Denial of Jesus as God’s Son

Islam teaches that Jesus (Isa) is merely a prophet, not the Son of God (Qur’an 4:171).

    Christianity teaches:

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” (John 20:31)

    2. Rejection of Christ’s Crucifixion

Islam teaches Jesus did not die on the cross but was taken to heaven (Qur’an 4:157-158).

    Christianity teaches:

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3)

    3. Works-Based Salvation

Islam requires adherence to the Five Pillars for salvation.

Christianity teaches that salvation is by grace through faith alone.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God…” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

    4. Denial of Original Sin

Islam teaches that humans are born sinless.

    Christianity teaches:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

    5. Belief in a False Prophet

Islam teaches that Muhammad is the last of the prophets (Qur’an 33:40).

    Christianity warns:

“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you…let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8)

    6. Use of the Qur’an as God’s Final Revelation

Islam teaches that the Qur’an abrogates all previous scriptures.

    Christianity teaches:

“Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.” (Psalm 119:89)

    7. Belief in Jinn Spirits

Islam teaches the existence of Jinn (demons) as neutral spirits (Qur’an 72:1-15).

Christianity’s teachings classify demons as evil spirits worthy of rejection (Mark 1:34).

    8. Islamic Prayer Rituals

Islam teaches the ritual of prayer five times daily, facing the direction of Mecca.

Christianity teaches that prayer provides direct access to God at any time through Jesus.

“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

    9. Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj)

Islam teaches that salvation is achieved through pilgrimage.

    Christianity teaches:

“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24)

    10. Ramadan Fasting for Merit

Islam teaches that fasting earns spiritual merit.

Christianity teaches that fasting is for humility before God, not to earn salvation (Matthew 6:16-18).

    11. Legalistic Sharia Law

Islam enforces Sharia as divine law.

    Christianity teaches:

“For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” (Romans 6:14)

    12. Polygamy Allowed

Islam permits up to four wives (Qur’an 4:3).

    Christianity teaches:

“Each man should have his wife, and each woman her husband.” (1 Corinthians 7:2)

    13. Heaven as a Sensual Paradise

Islam teaches that heaven is full of carnal pleasures (Qur’an 52:17-20).

    Christianity teaches:

“In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11)

    14. Jihad for Faith Expansion

Islam teaches defensive and offensive jihad.

    Christianity teaches:

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” (2 Corinthians 10:4)

    15. Kabah Stone Worship

Islam venerates the Black Stone at Mecca.

    Christianity teaches:

“Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” (1 John 5:21)

    16. Islamic View of Women

Islam teaches that women are inferior in inheritance, court testimony, and leadership.

    Christianity teaches:

“There is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)

    17. Denial of the Trinity

Islam teaches the Trinity is polytheism (Qur’an 4:171).

    Christianity teaches:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)

    18. Muhammad’s Involvement in Violence

History shows Muhammad led violent campaigns and raids (Ibn Ishaq’s Sirat Rasul Allah).

    Jesus taught:

“Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you…” (Matthew 5:44)

    19. Denial of Redemption Through Blood

    Islam rejects Christ’s atoning sacrifice.

    Christianity teaches:

“Without shedding of blood there is no remission [of sins].” (Hebrews 9:22)

    20. View of Jesus as Inferior to Muhammad

    Islam exalts Muhammad above Jesus.

    Christianity teaches:

“Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.” (Philippians 2:9)

    21. Emphasis on the Arabic Language for Revelation

Islam insists that only the Arabic Qur’an is the authoritative text.

    Christianity teaches:

The gospel is for all nations and languages (Revelation 7:9).

    22. Changing the Biblical Narrative

Islam alters Old Testament stories to fit Islamic theology (e.g., Abraham sacrificing Ishmael instead of Isaac).

    Christianity teaches:

“Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6)

    23. Concept of a ‘Scale of Deeds’

Islam teaches deeds are weighed for entry into heaven (Qur’an 21:47).

    Christianity teaches:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

    24. No Assurance of Salvation

Islam teaches no guarantee of salvation.

    Christianity teaches:

“These things I have written…that you may know that you have eternal life…” (1 John 5:13)

    25. Belief in the Qur’an as Uncreated

Islam teaches that the Qur’an is eternal.

    Christianity teaches:

Only God is eternal (Isaiah 43:10-11).

    26. No Relationship with God as Father

    Islam rejects God as Father.

    Christianity teaches:

“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’” (Romans 8:15)

    27. Blasphemy Laws with the Death Penalty

Islam enforces death for apostasy or blasphemy.

    Christianity teaches:

“He who believes in Him is not condemned…” (John 3:18)

    28. Use of Force in Religious Expansion Historically

Islam spread primarily through conquest (e.g., Umayyad and Abbasid expansions).

    Christianity teaches:

The gospel spreads by the Spirit and preaching alone (Acts 1:8).

    29. Lack of Resurrection Hope in Christ

Islam rejects the risen Christ as Redeemer.

    Christianity teaches:

“If Christ has not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!” (1 Corinthians 15:17)

    30. The Qur’an contains contradictions of the Bible.

Islam’s scriptures contradict biblical doctrine on nearly every essential point of faith.

    Christianity teaches:

“Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)

    Brief History of Islam

Islam began in 610 AD when Muhammad claimed to receive revelations from the angel Gabriel in Mecca. These revelations became the Qur’an. Early Islam spread rapidly through the Arabian Peninsula and beyond via conquest. Pre-Islamic paganism, Judaic traditions, and contemporary Christian heresies in Arabia heavily influenced its teachings. Islam’s beginnings differ from Christianity’s; Islam originated with a single person’s revelation, whereas Christianity began with the resurrection witnessed by many and the descent of the Holy Spirit.

    Where Does Islam Rank?

Islam is currently the world’s second-largest religion, after Christianity, with over 1.9 billion adherents (31% Christianity, 25% Islam). However, numbers do not determine truth. Jesus said:

“Enter by the narrow gate… “Because narrow is the gate, and difficult is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

Conclusion: Islam’s Spiritual Lostness Without Jesus Christ

Islam’s rejection of Jesus as Lord and Savior leaves its followers spiritually lost, unable to receive forgiveness and eternal life promised through Christ alone. Jesus declared:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

As devoted followers of Christ, we must pray fervently for those who belong to Islam to have a transformative encounter with the risen Savior. He is the only Name given under heaven, the ultimate source of salvation for all humanity (Acts 4:12). Let us earnestly seek divine intervention, that they may come to know the joy and hope found in Him. May this truth stir the church to evangelize Muslims with love, courage, and the unchanging gospel of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone.
